Powerplay Managers,
The second half of 2023 is shaping up to be very exciting, with the release of the long-awaited Counter-Strike 2 and other esports titles having their biggest events in the fall. We at Powerplay are also excited to announce a number of major updates coming to the platform alongside CS Season 3. We're happy to share them with you now.
Here's what's on the horizon:
Marketplace
Our current focus is on expanding the marketplace, which will facilitate card trade between the managers. The early version of the marketplace will be user-friendly and self-sufficient. The main goal is to help our managers expand their card collections, as well as get rid of duplicates and unwanted cards. In the future, we will introduce additional functionalities to help managers make better deals and get results faster. More information will be shared soon, so stay tuned.
Paid Features
Powerplay is a free-to-play game, and it's going to stay that way, but we also plan to add some paid features.
Every successful product has a reliable business model. We believe that Powerplay has reached a stage where we can comfortably introduce paid features to the platform. These features will be particularly appealing to managers who seek more sophisticated and data-driven approach to the game. Importantly, these additions will not affect the game's free-to-play nature, and they will not create a pay-to-win environment. None of these features will be necessary to play or succeed in the game.
We expect these updates to be both helpful for people who want more data to rely on and a good boost for future product development for every manager.
Rewards
We also plan to rework the rewards structure at Powerplay to make the game even more thrilling for every manager. We're keeping some details under wraps for now, but trust us, the new rewards will take your favorite CS2 weapon to a whole new level of awesomeness! 🙂 Prepare yourself for an even more visually captivating experience coming your way!
New disciplines
Closer to the year-end, we plan to add at least 1 other discipline to the platform. We are currently considering a number of different options, but we believe that a MOBA game would be a good fit. Stay tuned for further updates as we bring this exciting expansion to life. We will provide more information on this development soon.

Update on the previous roadmap
We already released the Demo (Practice) Tournament as we mentioned earlier. Now you can try and experiment freely to get a better grasp of the game and learn how to make the perfect team for a tournament. If you missed it, we highly recommend giving it a try.
The marketplace is still underway as we promised, though the achievements functionality is now delayed. We feel that delivering a marketplace will partially help people to solve the same issues they have over card collections, so we plan to add this functionality later on.
Thank you for being with us and having the patience as we try to deliver the best experience for you. It may not be the smoothest ride, but it's gonna get better and way more fun in the future.
